It’s a special extended Thanksgiving episode, with friend and guest Derek Richards, a very funny comedian who just published his first book called Whiskey, Cancer and Bad Decisions.
Sal and Bob go to legendary Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn, New York. They joke about the cash only policy of the restaurant and wonder what happens if you try using a credit card. The guys kibitz about Adam Sandler’s Thanksgiving song and Bob is intrigued by Sal’s cousin Rocco, from whom Sal is buying a car on this trip.
They complain as usual about how bad the Detroit Lions suck, then introduce Derek for a lively interview about the comedy biz, overcoming cancer, and some funny stories about the road, and dining in Vegas. Derek winds it up with a hilarious story about medicating his ex mother in law’s coffee to get some peace.
